SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS

Weevils (Coleoptera: Curculionodea): morphology, phylogeny, evolution, insect-host relationships, distribution.

Insect diversity and nature conservation.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

1997 – Degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences (equivalent of Ph.D.), I. I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine, Kyiv. Dissertation entitled "Weevils of the subfamily Hylobiinae (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) of the forest-steppes of Ukraine" was defended in March 1997.

1992 – 1995 – Postgraduate course: Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, National academy of Science of Ukraine, Kyiv.
