1. Parasites of wild and domestic equids and wild ungulates.

2. Parasites of marine mammals.

3. Parasites of Antarctic fish

4. Parasite communities of various groups of vertebrates.

5. Epidemiology and anthelmintic resistance in parasitic nematodes.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

1996 - Diploma of Biological Department of Kiev State University. Biologist, zoologist, specialist in vertebrates.

1997-2000 - Postgraduate course, Institute of Zoology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kiev (Ukraine).

2003 - Training NorFa course on "Sustainable Control of Nematode Parasites in Ruminant Livestock" (Tallberg, Sweden).

2004 - Training NorFa course on "Epidemiology and sustainable control of parasites in pigs, poultry, and horses" (Tisvildeleje, Denmark).

2005 - Training NordForsk course on "Parasitological zoonoses" (Tvarminne, Finland).

2005 - Degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences (equivalent of Ph.D.), Institute of Zoology of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, Kiev. Dissertation entitled "Biological basis of the integrated control of strongylids (Nematoda: Strongylida) - parasites of horses under conditions of Ukraine" was defended on the 23-th of November, 2004.

2006 – Distant course "Fundamentals of Academic Writing: Writing and Essay" (Ivan Franko National University of L'viv, Ukraine).
