Current work deals with study of the shore entomofauna in North Western part of the Black Sea Basin and the fauna of Ukrainian fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae).
Research interests:
Systematic of Diptera (Palaearctic Tephritidae and Platystomatidae: taxonomy, faunae, biology. Suprageneric taxonomy of Tephritidae and Tephritoidea (Worldwide). Faunistics of several Ukrainian Acalyptrate Diptera. Insects associated with asteraceous and scrophulariaceous wild and weed plants, and with leafy spurges; agents for biocontrol of weeds.
Skills in foreign languages: English: fluent conversation, translation and scientific writing; German: fair scientific translation. Other: Russian-- fluent. Polish, Czech -- fair.
